Tell Me More...
Providing a reliable splash of long-lasting, late season colour, Aster dumosus 'Peter Harrison' is an invaluable member of the garden, steadfastly cheerful often as plants around it begin to fade. From August to November, this cultivar produces many pale pink blooms with yellow centres, held above mounds of finely divided foliage. Flowers are nectar-rich and borne on sturdy stems, making them beloved by pollinators and flower arrangers alike. New growth emerges at a time when many spring flowering bulbs are dying back, making the two excellent planting companions.Prefers moist soil, in full sun to partial shade. H&S: 45cm x 60cm. Hardy perennial. Aster dumosus benefits from an annual application of mulch, best given after it has been cut back. To maintain vigorous growth, divide and replant every three years.
