Perfect for adding colour and movement to your garden, with plentiful flowers and seedheads adding interest into autumn. Taller varieties will add architecture to your garden planted in a border, while the more compact varieties are ideal for adding to a container. Arching leaves hold purple-tinged brush-like flower spikes in August and September. Half-hardy perennial.Molinia caerulea 'Variegata' - Height and spread 60cm. Dark green narrow leaves boldly edged with cream with airy purple flowers from July to September. Fully hardy perennial. Miscanthus sinensis 'Ferner Osten' - Height 1.5m. Spread 1m. Arching stems hold airy sprays of silky, dark purple-red blooms from August to October above blue-green foliage. Hardy perennial.
