A new, and resplendent tree with cascades of elegant white bell-shaped flowers which hang beneath finely pointed green foliage making a delightful display during the summer months. Styrax japonicus will add an unusual touch to your garden, providing continuing colour as the leaves, which are held from March to November, change from red to yellow before they finally drop in the autumn. Appropriately known as Japanese Snowbells, Styrax japonicus is a deciduous tree that is a low maintenance addition to any garden. Flowering from June to August, the delightful blooms offer a light, sweet fragrance and make a feast for local bees and pollinators, whilst the berries will feed birds and other wildlife in autumn and beyond. Growing to a height of 12m with a spread of 3m over 20-50 years, this slower growth makes it suitable for a smaller garden.
