A trio of wonderfully colourful, vigorous and varied Salvia which commence flowering in late spring, early summer and continue through until mid-autumn. Offering six months of colour over verdant and aromatic foliage, plants are perfect for lining a pathway or patio area so that the leaves release their herby fragrance when they are touched or brushed past.
The ‘Stimulating Salvia Collection’ comprises new arrival, ‘Amistad’ with its purple-pink hues (H: 80cm S: 60cm); ‘Pink Amistad’ still flushed with success after Chelsea Flower Show in 2022 (H: 1.5m S: 50cm); and leucantha x chiapensis ‘Phyllis' Fancy’ with lavender blue tints and pretty white flowers (H: 1.5m S: 1.2m).
Plants in the ‘Stimulating Salvia Collection’ prefer a sheltered spot in well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Position in full sun with a south or west facing aspect and watch as the bushy beauties burst into life. ‘Berry Blast’ is a hardy (H4), herbaceous perennial whilst others are half-hardy (H3) and will need protection from extreme frosts.
