Tell Me More...
A one-stop garden transformation For a bold injection of colour and vertical interest both into your garden and also if cut, into your indoor floral arrangements, our Delphinium Collection is hard to beat. When most of us hear ‘delphinium’ we think of the classic blue flower spikes, yet this surprisingly varied genus offers a broad range of colours, forms, and sizes; demonstrated perfectly by this selection. Stems are packed with blooms through the summer, to the delight of local bees and butterflies. A second flush of flowering is usually possible if spent spikes are removed straight away, and particularly if they are given a fortnightly feeding throughout the growing season. For best results plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. All these varieties are hardy to between -10°C and -15°C, so will cope well with the average UK winter. As short-lived perennials they are often treated as annuals or biennials, though with care and attention can be kept going for longer.
