A collaborative and colourful ensemble of blooms ideal for a tricky, shaded spot needing a splash of colour. Flowers emerge from June through to August above mounds of long-lasting, palmate foliage which emerges in April and is retained until October. Nectar-rich flowers are loved by pollinators and make a beautiful inclusion in a vase or other floral display - either fresh or dried. The Starry Astrantia major Collection includes Venice with rich, red-pink blooms (H: 75cm S: 45cm); the AGM holding Roma with mid pink blooms and bracts (H&S: 60cm); and Ruby Wedding with its almost burgundy flower heads (H: 75cm S: 60cm). All three plants in the Starry Astrantia Collection prefer to be planted in moist, well-drained soil of any type. These shade lovers are also happy in full sun and are fully hardy, herbaceous perennials which do not need any additional winter protection.
