Tell Me More...
Bursting with energy and flowering from summer into early autumn for dramatic impact, Spritely Eryngium Collection injects a burst of blue and white into your garden for weeks at a time. These intriguing, spiky forms are also the perfect inclusion in a vase or bouquet adding dramatic form as well as shots of colour. Loved by bees and other pollinators, when flowers mature into seedheads they offer valuable sustenance to wildlife as well as beauty to a frosted garden. Spritely Erngium Collection comprises: yuccifolium Magical Green Globe - with silvery white flowerheads from March to November and unusual, strap-like leaves (H: 90cm S: 40cm); planum - with rich blue flowers and more typical foliage (H: 90cm S: 60cm); and the AGM holding x zabelii Big Blue which, as the name suggests, has multitudes of dependable and dramatic violet-blue flowers (H: 75cm S: 60cm). All plants in this collection prefer well-drained soil in either full sun or partial shade. Hardy, herbaceous perennials which are beneficially drought tolerant once they are established. May need additional protection if temperatures fall below -10 degrees centigrade.
