Plants in the Sought-after Symphyotrichum Collection make colourful and exciting transitional planting, helping your garden shift from summer to autumn. From August through to as late as November plants bear flowers in fabulously bright hues, many with glorious golden stamen. Brilliant as cut flowers and a wonderful way to offer pollinators a later source of pollen and nectar prior to hibernation. Foliage emerges as early as March, forming sculptural mounds which are excellent for lining a pathway, edging a border, or framing a container whilst you await the flowers.Collection comprises: new and unusual novi-belgii 'Neron' with its double, rich pink flowers - H&S: 50cm; novi-belgii 'Purple Dome' H&S: 60cm; novi-belgii 'Crimson Brocade' H: 90cm S: 50cm; novi-belgii 'White Ladies' H: 1m S: 80cm; and another new variety, novi-belgii 'Peter Harrison' with bubble-gum pink blooms H: 45cm S: 60cm. All are hardy, herbaceous perennials which do not need winter protection throughout most of the UK.
