Perfect as a houseplant, solenostemon will equally make a brilliant addition to your container displays. This luscious perennial can also be used as summer bedding when temperatures remain above 5-10 C. Treat your tender solenostemon as an annual when planted outside, or keep your container-grown plant in a conservatory during cooler weather.Best in moist, well-drained soil, your solenostemon will thrive in a sunny or partly sunny, sheltered location. A biweekly application of nitrogen-rich fertiliser and generous amounts of water during the growing season are also recommended.For a wonderful bushy display of gorgeous coppery leaves, pinch back the tips regularly.Your coleus will eventually reach a maximum height and spread of 40cm by 30cm.
