An exciting, new and colourful blend of velvety foliage, serrated leaves and striking colours make Solenostemon scutellarioides Premium Sun Coral Candy perfect for summer planting in pots, baskets or open ground. Colourful enough to be a focal plant as well as an inclusion in carefully collated bedding arrangements. Ideal for filling gaps in the herbaceous border once other spring growth has faded where the pink, bronze and brown foliage will add pattern, depth and colour. Flowers are produced from July to September, adding an extra element to your planting, although the foliage is the primary feature and the reason why these beautiful plants are also known as Painted Nettle. Grows to a height and spread of 35-40cm. Solenostemon scutellarioides Premium Sun Coral Candy likes a spot in fertile, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun or partial shade. This plant is classified as a warm temperate, evergreen perennial but is most frequently grown as an annual. Plant can, however, be relocated into a heated greenhouse or conservatory once temperatures fall below 5 C and then returned outdoors again the following spring as temperatures begin to rise.
