Tell Me More...
Wholehearted and genuine, the ‘Sincere Salvia Collection’ are hard-working plants, giving you a myriad of open-mouthed blooms for almost six months, from summer through until the first frosts. Much loved by bees and other pollinators, and happy in both borders and containers, the foliage will release a sweet- sage-like aroma whenever it is brushed against. The Sincere Salvia Collection comprises; sagitta ‘Blue Butterflies’ – dazzling, cobalt blue flowers, height 1.2m, spread 30-50cm; x jamensis ‘Lemon Light’ – masses of pale, lemon-yellow blooms, evergreen, height and spread 45-75cm; and ulignosa ‘African Sky’ – ethereal, sky-blue blooms, height 80cm, spread 45-60cm. For best results grow in a sunny or partially shaded, south or west facing aspect, in moist, well-draining, moderately fertile soil, and deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Hardy to around -5°C, (Lemon Light is a little hardier to -10°C), so may need protection during a particularly cold winter.
