Protect your own cylindrical feeders from being quickly emptied by large birds and squirrels, by simply hanging them within the stylish, specially designed ‘Medusa Feeder Defender’. Intended to be used with a wide range of cylindrical garden bird feeders, the chain frame reducues the likelihood of large birds and squirrels getting through. Looking not unlike a garden ornament, this stylish cage is crafted from antique copper metal which is 'ready to rust', and gives small birds, many of which are in decline, a safe feeding zone where they will happily feed in peace. Designed by the well-known broadcaster, conservationist and naturalist, Simon King OBE, ‘Medusa Feeder Defender’ was carefully tested over a 3-year period and proved to prevent ‘mobbing’. Once added to your feeder, small birds’ flit between the hanging chains and will even start to use them and the bars on the top as perches. Place your feeders where you would normally, ie away from obstructions such as branches or bushes. Please note, the ‘Medusa Feeder Defender’ will not protect against starlings, which are also a species struggling and in decline within our gardens. Please also note that the bird feeder is not included. Measures 68cm tall, and 27cm wide.
