Tell Me More...
Scaevola aemula 'Scala' White is delicate enough to be mistaken for a fan belonging to one of the fairies who live at the bottom of the garden, well, that is, if you believe in fairies? This unusual plant is an exciting newcomer to the UK (from its native Australia) so do not be surprised by inquisitive looks and comments from friends and neighbours once you add it to your planting. Flowers are borne from June until October and could easily be mistaken for just half a flower as the 5-petalled bloom looks as if it has been precisely segmented down the middle.Scaevola aemula 'Scala' White is a low growing tender annual bedding plant which gives wonderfully exotic looking blooms alongside evergreen, spoon or lance-shaped foliage. Perfect for those of you who are seeking heat tolerant additions to your summer planting and ideal for containers, as well as for borders or rockeries. Plants prefer full sun or part shade and well-drained soil. They will reach a height of 35cm, with a spread of 45cm and they trail for up to 20cm.
