Tell Me More...
Scaevola aemula 'Scala' Blue is an unusual and exciting newcomer to the UK (from its native Australia). You are sure to receive some inquisitive looks and comments from friends and neighbours when you add it to your summer planting. The intriguing, lilac-blue, 5 petalled flowers are borne from June until the first frosts and closely resemble a miniature fan, or a daisy flower which has been cut in half.As a low, mound forming plant Scaevola aemula 'Scala' Blue is frequently grown as an annual due to its tender nature. Foliage is, however, evergreen in its native country and the exotic looking flowers continue to bloom all year round. Perfect for those of you who are seeking heat tolerant additions to your summer planting and ideal for containers, as well as for borders or rockeries. Plants prefer full sun or part shade and well-drained soil and will reach a height of 35cm, with a spread of 45cm.
