Tell Me More...
An exciting variety, which has been strategically bred for large flowers. Blooms are also held on long, strong stems, again to meet the needs of the cut flower market. We have now secured stocks of Scabiosa 'Scoop Raspberry' for you to grow in your very own cutting garden. Alternatively, plant them in containers, gravel gardens and herbaceous borders where they will also thrive and, from July to September, provide you with oodles of rich, pink flowers, topped by fascinating white specked 'pinhead' buds. Flowers open and unfurl to give you masses of tightly packed, frilly pom-pom petals which are stunning in a vase or bouquet. Loved by pollinators you cannot help but admire these flowers in situ and watch as nectar-seeking visitors bob from bloom to bloom in search of a feast.Plant Scabiosa 'Scoop Raspberry' in well-drained soil with full sun. A half-hardy, herbaceous perennial which reaches a height of 60cm and spreads up to 30cm. Protect plants from frost over winter, either by lifting or mulching.
