A new variety for 2025. These relatively low-growing beauties are the perfect way to frame a border or raised bed, as well as ideal for filling baskets and containers with generous colour from June to October. Verdant foliage is semi-evergreen so may be retained all year in very mild parts of the UK. Flowers last up to five months on these native South African plants which are also known as the Cape Daisy, stems can also be cut for a vase or posy – adding their colour indoors as well as out.
The ‘Sassy Osteospermum Señorita Collection’ comprises ‘Double Lovely Pink’; ‘Double Violet’; and ‘Double Crème’ – all have an inner corona of pom-pom like petals surrounding longer, more intensely coloured outer petals, thus creating a flamboyant, fuller bloom.
Plant your ‘Sassy Osteospermum Señorita Collection’ in well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Position in full sun or partial shade with a south or west facing aspect. Once established these tender (H2) perennials are drought tolerant and will even thrive in a rockery too, growing to a height and spread of 20cm.
