Your ‘Sanguisorba Pimpernelle Collection’ offers a trio of pinks and whites to add vibrancy and intriguing form to your garden. Cut stems are also excellent for vase inside your home. An ideal way to add easy-going colour across the seasons in herbaceous borders, containers and wildlife gardens. ‘Sanguisorba Pimpernelle Collection’ comprises Sanguisorba obtusa ‘Alba’ with its generous, tasselled white blooms and a height of 90cm with a spread of 60cm; Sanguisorba ‘Blackthorn’ with tightly packed, pink flowerheads and a height of 1.2m with a spread of 50-75cm; finally, Sanguisorba hakusanensis ‘Lilac Squirrel’ with its frivolous, arching lilac-pink flowers (resembling squirrel tails) which grow to a height of 1m and spread of 60cm. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any kind which benefits from full sun or partial shade. Fully hardy and hardy, herbaceous perennials which die back below ground over winter and re-emerge the following spring without any need for additional winter protection.
