Tell Me More...
Sanguisorba hakusanensis 'Lilac Squirrel' is a robust and resilient plant with tassels of flowers produced from June to September. Blooms are delightfully poised over a mound of glaucous and attractively serrated leaves which are retained from March to November. There is an air of frivolity to this variety of sanguisorbia which is created by the joyous, lilac-pink colour of the flowers alongside their fluffy appearance and generous habit. Great for adding vertical interest in containers, wildlife gardens and herbaceous borders. Flowers are pollinator friendly and the seedheads which follow are a great source of food for birds and other wildlife. Sanguisorba hakusanensis 'Lilac Squirrel' looks fabulous planted with ornaments grasses for a prairie feel or dotted amongst evergreens and hostas for variation of form and colour. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any type which enjoys either full sun or partial shade. Plants reach a maximum height and spread of 1.5 metres. This is
