Illuminating blooms along with fragrant splendour
The aromatic foliage of Salvia splendens ‘Reddy Scarlet Bicolor’ brings its deliciously herby fragrance from March through to November time. Shortly after, in June, the spectacularly vibrant, bicoloured flowers emerge in shades of red orange, with accents of white to the buds and flower tips. Blooms are also fragrant and pollinator friendly, held on well-branched flower spikes which are excellent for adding to a vase or floral display, so you can enjoy the colour and fragrance in your home too. The naturally dwarfing habit of the ‘Reddy’ series makes theses salvia ideal for smaller spaces, as well as perfect for lining pathways and filling containers with their exuberant colour. These smaller plants grow to a height and spread of around 30cm.
Salvia splendens ‘Reddy Scarlet Bicolor’ will thrive in any type of well-drained soil except clay. These are tender annuals which like full sun or partial shade with a south or west facing asp
