A new introduction, Salvia x jamensis 'Pluenn' is unique, derived from crossing Salvia greggii and microphylla, bringing together the best qualities of both, including hardiness, drought tolerance and extended blooming from May to October. Typically reaching a height and spread of around 80cm, 'Pluenn' forms a compact, bushy plant that fits perfectly into borders, containers, and mixed garden beds. Boasting particularly striking blooms - a charming combination of warm, vivid salmon-pink and creamy white – they contrast beautifully with the green, aromatic foliage which stays all year round unless the winter is particularly cold. These tubular blooms appear in abundance from late spring through to the first frosts of autumn, creating a long-lasting display that attracts a variety of pollinators, including bees and butterflies. Salvia x jamensis 'Pluenn' thrives in an east, south or west facing aspect, in full sun or partial shade. Known for its low maintenance, resistance to pests and diseases, and hardiness down to around -10°C to -15°C, this pollinator magnet adds enduring beauty and ecological value to any garden setting.
