Tell Me More...
Salvia 'Pink Amistad' boasts large, open-mouthed blooms in shades of rich cherry pink with darker stems and calyces. Flowers are held high above the scented foliage on elongated, slender stems from June to November each year. Ideal for planting alongside a path or near a seat where the scented foliage, which is borne from March to November, can be fully appreciated as it is brushed past. Salvia 'Pink Amistad' also make a fabulous addition to vases and bouquets. Yet another reason why it is admired for its outstanding performance in the garden. If that is not sufficient it is also an enticement to pollinators and will happily grow in a container or a dry garden as it is drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. A half-hardy, deciduous perennial which is tolerant of temperatures to -5 C, requiring little protection even during the coldest winter weather.
