Tell Me More...
A new introduction, Rudbeckia hybrida ‘Summerdaisy’s Pink and Lemon’ produces beautiful daisy-like blooms in subtle and highly unusual pastel colour combinations. Strong stems rise above compact clumps of lush foliage, each holding the fascinating blooms. Flowering from July to October, these blooms take over when many summer flowering plants start to fade. Compact enough for pots and containers, ‘Summerdaisy’s Pink and Lemon’ will reach a height and spread of around 50cm. Adored by bees and butterflies and the centre cones can be left for the birds in the winter. If you can bear to cut them, blooms are excellent for bringing into your home and popping in a vase or for use in a floral display. Rudbeckia hybrida ‘Summerdaisy’s Pink and Lemon’ prefers to be grown in fertile, well-draining soil in a sunny position. A half-hardy perennial rated H3 by the RHS, it will survive a warm winter, however a beneficial mulch is appreciated to keep the roots warmer if temperatures drop further.
