Tell Me More...
With its gentle hues and simple open blooms, Rosa 'Smarty' will offer a slightly 'wild' looking beauty when it flowers from July to November. Buds emerge a deep pink colour, opening to soft shell pink then maturing to paler hues which culminate in fantastic creamy petals. Foliage is a bright, matt green and held from March to November for extended, weed-suppressing interest.Groundcover roses are also known as procumbent roses, and they bring all the joy of their taller cousins along with easier access for pruning, with no ladder climbing required. Perfect for a traditional cottage garden, Rosa 'Smarty' will draw in pollinators with its open, pollen rich blooms, wildlife friendly nature and subtle, fruity fragrance. A repeat flowering rose which produces and abundance of open sprays, this deciduous shrub reaches a height and spread of 1.2m.Rosa 'Smarty' prefers a spot in full sun which benefits from moist, rich, well-drained soil. A fully hardy variety which does not need winter protection throughout the UK.
