Emerging in June, the blooms of Rosa ‘My Lovely Dad’ will repeat flower through to September time, held on strong stems which are just perfect for cutting to add to a vase inside your home. The palette of this extraordinary flower is a silvery purple with hints of pink to the petals when flowers first emerge – a true delight for sure! Once established not only is Rosa ‘My Lovely Dad’ drought tolerant, it is equally happy growing in a generous container as it is in the rose garden or mixed border. You could even plant in multiples to form an informal hedge or edging to a path, where visitors could enjoy both the blooms and the irresistible fragrance. Unfussy on aspect, plant in rich, moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun. Your hardy (H6) deciduous shrub will mature to a height of 1m with a spread of 75cm.
