Tell Me More...
Double blooms in smoky, deep, plum purple tones emerge from June to September. Rosa ‘Ebb Tide’ was first introduced to the market in 2006, having been bred by Tom Carruth in America. It is, however, a new variety to us for 2024 – we love the traditional shape of these blooms along with the compact, rounded habit and intoxicating clove and citrus like fragrance. As a repeat flowering Floribunda variety as long as you keep deadheading you will have plenty of flowers for the garden and for cutting to add to a vase inside your home. One less well known fact about Rosa ‘Ebb Tide’ is that, whilst most roses need richly fertile soils this one will tolerate slightly poorer soils too. As a general guide provide with moist, well-drained soil where possible and locate in full sun with an east or west facing aspect. Once established, shrubs are drought tolerant, and mature to a height and spread of 1.2 metres. A hardy (H6) shrub which holds its foliage from March to October.
