Tell Me More...
Rosa ‘Drift Red’ is a striking, low-growing shrub rose variety renowned for its vivid red blooms and exceptional disease resistance. Part of the ‘Drift’ series, specially bred to stay manageable in size, this compact rose combines the best characteristics of groundcover roses and miniature roses, making it ideal for small gardens, borders, and containers. The plant produces abundant clusters of petite, semi-double flowers from late spring until the first frost, ensuring a long-lasting display of colour. Each bloom measures about 3cm in diameter and stands out against the dark green, glossy foliage, which is notably resistant to common rose diseases such as black spot and powdery mildew. Drift roses are much loved by bees, amazingly easy to grow and virtually maintenance free. Reaching a height of 45cm, and spreading to approximately 75cm, preferring well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Being perennial, you will be enjoying these in your garden for years to come and they require no winter protection, unless you are in the very coldest of areas, in which case just add a mulch around the base of the plant.
