Grown for their beauty, Salvia have long been known to improve memory and heighten your senses. Revitalising Salvia Collection not only offers a sage fragrance to provide a sensory stimulus, the tall spires of flowers from June to November bring colourful visual delight both in a vase and in the garden as well as offering a feast for pollinators.
Revitalising Salvia Collection comprises greggii ‘Peach Cobbler’ with the fruitiest orange coloured blooms (H&S: 90cm); microphylla ‘Wine and Roses’ in rich reds and purples reminiscent of perfumed blooms and a good Merlot (H: 80cm S: 75cm); and with its scrumptiously creamy hues ‘Peach Parfait’ (H: 90cm S: 60cm). The word ‘salvia’ is derived from the Latin word ‘salvere’ meaning to save, and plants have been used medicinally in many ways for centuries as balms, or salves, and infusions - as well as in healing poultices.
This trio are half-hardy, evergreen and semi-evergreen perennials which will need some additional protection if temperature
