A dainty looking beauty with a profusion of slender wiry stems which rise above the dramatically marked foliage. Stems hold a mass of small starry pink flowers from May to August each year. A shade loving relative of the Heuchera often grown for its neat mounds of deeply cut palmate leaves, each looking as if it has been delicately hand-painted in shades of purple. In autumn, the foliage turns bronze if grown in the sun, and black if grown in the shade. Tiarella cordifolia ‘Spring Symphony’ is recognised by the RHS for its outstanding durability and beauty with their Award of Garden so is an exemplar plant to choose. These easy-going plants are happy in both borders and containers, making excellent weed-suppressing ground cover. Plants will naturalise by spreading stolons which form offsets that, if you wish, can remain undivided for years. Tiarella cordifolia ‘Pink Skyrocket’ is a woodland plant, originating from Asia and Northern America. It prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade. A fully hardy, evergreen perennial which reaches a height of 45cm and a spread of 30cm.
