Tell Me More...
A smaller yet perfectly formed patio size raspberry bush. Rubus 'Sweet Sunshine' flowers from June to August each year for a pollinators' feast. Flowers then develop into abundance of juicy and intensely flavoured raspberries in quick succession directly after pollination; so, fruit is beneficially early, yet continual, cropper. Furthermore, canes are thornless so no need for gloves when harvesting or pruning.Rubus 'Sweet Sunshine' is equally happy in a container, raised bed or growbag - making it a versatile solution if you have limited space or wish to plant 'potager' style for decoration as well as food. Notable for its heavy cropping of tasty summer fruit, clumps of canes will increase in size over 5 years or so - meaning more raspberries for more delicious summer puddings, jams and cakes! This hardy shrub prefers a site which benefits from moist, well-drained soil with a good loam content. Position in full sun for best results. Reaches a maximum height of 1m with a spread of 50cm.
