A stunning new variant with regal tones and opulent, double, or even triple, blooms in April and May each year - the flowers of spring dreams. Warm purple petals surrounding masses of smaller petals, with a darker centre, sit on silky dark green, finely cut foliage which is retained from April to September for gap-filling interest. Happy flowers that will bring a smile to anyone who sees them and fill your garden with magical delight. Low growing with a height and spread of 15-30cm, Pulsatilla vulgaris Fairy Dreams is perfect for groundcover and will naturalise easily. A beautiful addition to any garden and superb in a gravel bed, alpine garden or a container on the patio. Pulsatilla vulgaris Fairy Dreams will thrive in full sun in neutral or acidic, well-drained soil and the nectar rich flowers will be welcomed by local bees and other pollinators. Classed as a fully hardy H7 herbaceous perennial, growth will die back in the autumn, with new growth emerging in the spring. Additional winter protection is not required.
