Tell Me More...
Irresistible to our pollinating friends, hence the common name, Buddleja davidii 'Butterfly Candy Little Purple' is a relatively new and highly fragrant cutie. Shorter and more compact than its taller cousins, it is perfect for those of us with smaller gardens. Plump, conical, flower spikes burst with smaller-sized, scented blooms from June to October for up to 5 months of rich and resplendent colour. Flowers create a wonderful display which almost covers the dense, compact mounds of pretty, silvery green foliage and will be humming with butterflies and bees who adore this nectar-rich delicacy. Buddleja davidii 'Butterfly Candy Little Purple' prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in full sun, although it will tolerate some shade. A perfect way to edge your pathways, add accents to the front or mid-tier of a border and create a focal interest in a special container. A hardy perennial with reaches a mature height and spread of 80cm.
