Tell Me More...
‘Tinkerbells’ has added a magical sprinkle of fairy dust to this year’s primula range. Buds appear as early as January, heralding the arrival of Spring in all her glory. In fact, the word ‘primula’ comes from the Latin word ‘prima’ – which means ‘very first’. Small wonders these dainty delights appear so early in the gardening calendar. Flowers are bi-coloured, compact and long-lasting, with darker edged petals accented by a bright, yellow eye. Blooms are produces through until the end of spring and plants are versatile enough for borders, containers or even as a welcoming touch of colour inside the home. Primula aucalis ‘Tinkerbells’ is also an invaluable, early source of nectar for pollinators. Prefer moisture retentive, humus-rich soil in partial shade. H&S: 25cm x 20cm. Hardy, semi-evergreen perennials.
