Collection comprises; Tulip 'Black Parrot' - striking, rich, sumptuous plum-purple flowers which appear to twist and turn as they open, height 50cm; Tulip 'Negrita Parrot' - crown shaped, deep beetroot purple flowerheads with flashes of green veins sit atop dark stems, height 60cm; and Tulip 'Cracker Parrot' - dark pink flowers with edges flushed white and the merest hint of green, height 60cm. Originating from hot, dry habitats, Parrot Tulips prefer to be grown in fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun, with shelter from strong winds. Excessive wet will not be tolerated.
