The ‘Pleasing Polemonium Collection’ form mounds of delicately textured foliage that emerge in March and is retained through to October, lending weed-suppressing groundcover.
The enchanting common name, Jacob’s Ladder is drawn from the formation of the leaves, which are held as leaflets in opposite pairs to give stems a distinctive, ladder-like structure.
This collection comprises; reptans ‘Stairway to Heaven’ - variegated green and creamy-white foliage which is tinged by blushing pink during the cooler spring weather, then throughout April and May, upright stems hold clusters of dainty, light blue and white, bell-shaped blooms, height and spread 45cm; reptans ‘Touch of Class’ - leaves are variegated with a striking combination of green and creamy white, from June to August, clusters of small, bell-shaped blooms in shades of soft blue to lavender, height and spread 50cm; and yezoense ‘Halfway to Paradise’ – deep green leaves form a dense, attractive mound, in June and July stems
