Tell Me More...
With broad, rigid variegated leaves reaching up to 1m in length, Phormium 'Yellow Wave' makes a striking and architectural year-round focal point. This clump-forming evergreen perennial has buttery, yellow-green leaves, most of them striped longitudinally with bright green. The bright colours combined with an arching, upright form and substantial size, the overall effect is given one of joyful exuberance. Ideal for combining with other large-scale, lush, foliage plants for a jungle-effect border, or as a specimen plant in a coastal garden. Once established, this easy, resilient plant requires little in the way of ongoing maintenance. Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. H&S: 2.5m. Hardy to -10 C. Provide a deep, dry winter mulch for best results.
