Vigorous and trailing, Phlox subulata 'McDaniel's Cushion' will illuminate your spring and early summer garden.Sure to impress all, dense, evergreen cushions of small dark leaves create wonderfully attractive, weed-suppressing groundcover, keeping the ground cool in summer and warm in winter.Almost covered with dainty, bright, pink-purple blooms from April to July, this creeping phlox will spill over the edges of walls or pots, and create dramatic splashes of colour in borders, rockeries, or gravel gardens. Phlox subulata are a distant native to north America and offer sustenance to visiting bees and other pollinators. Given the Award of Garden Merit by the RHS for outstanding garden performance, Phlox subulata 'McDaniel's Cushion' reaches a height of around 15cm and will spread up to 50cm.
