An exciting new arrival for 2024. Phlox paniculata ‘Sweet Summer Fragrance’ is alluring to pollinators and other wildlife as well as a staple of the herbaceous border. Reaching a height of around 80cm and spreading to 60cm. The mounded clusters of rich pink flowers, each with a raspberry eye, will fill containers and vases too, spreading their sweet, floral perfume across the garden and inside your home. A favourite of florists for their generous presence, phlox are considered a ‘must have’ in any cutting garden too. The verdant and vigorous foliage of Phlox paniculata ‘Sweet Summer Fragrance’ emerges in April and is retained until autumn time – filling gaps and bolstering containers with lush leaves even before the blooms appear. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any kind except sand based. Position in full sun or partial shade with any aspect other than north facing. Hardy, herbaceous perennials which should not need additional winter protection throughout most of the UK.
