An easy going plant, Phlox paniculata ‘Amethyst’ is happy grown in either borders or containers and lasts exceptionally well when cut for a vase to bring the sweet scent indoors. Phlox are slug resistant and tolerant of most soil conditions except heavy clay. Plant in a sunny or partially shaded position with a south, east or west facing aspect. Growing to a height and spread of up to 90cm, Phlox paniculata ‘Amethyst’ is a fully hardy (H7) herbaceous perennial which reaches a spread of around 75cm and can be left outside over winter with no need for additional protection.
