Tell Me More...
An exciting new variety of our ever-popular 'Gin & Tonic' plant. Not only does Philotheca myoporoides 'Gold Touch' have valuable, evergreen foliage with the much-loved scent of our favourite tipple, the leaves are variegated with golden edges which add to their reflective glory. 'Gold Touch' also has highly scented, starry blooms which appear in spring to elevate this half-hardy, perennial shrub even further - the dainty flowers literally seem to sparkle in the sunlight. These long-lasting flowers are also a popular choice for vases and bouquets, especially with florists.Philotheca myoporoides 'Gold Touch' prefers a sheltered spot with moist, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. As a cautionary note, your fragranced friend is not a huge fan of frost, although it should be fine with some sheltered protection. During immaturity, this Australian shrub will need to be watered once or twice per week when the soil becomes dry, once maturity is reached the plant becomes fairly drought tolerant as an added bonus. H&S: 1.2m.
