Standing out with a beautiful contrast, Penstemon 'Snow Storm' displays clusters of tubular, foxglove-like, bright white blooms which open from faint, pink-tinged buds. Held on strong, wiry stems over semi-evergreen foliage, you will have a magnificent display from May to October, often longer. Penstemon are so easy to grow and incredibly hard working. Oblivious of drought or rain and positively thriving in most soil conditions, in containers or borders, sun or part shade, and propagating so easily. You will not need to battle against slugs and snails either, as Penstemon are not eaten by any garden pests and yet are much loved by bees. Penstemon Snow Storm was introduced in 1912 and has several pseudonyms, 'Burford White', 'Hidcote White', 'Royal White', 'Snowflake' and 'White Bedder'.Being a hardy perennial, Penstemon 'Snow Storm' does not require any winter protection in most of the UK and will reach a height of approximately 55cm, spreading to between 45-60cm.
