Foxglove-like in appearance, many bell-shaped blooms in shades of pink, each with a white and pink streaked throat are held on strong, wiry stems high above semi-evergreen foliage. Blooming from late spring, you will have blooms in your garden and in vases for over 6 months of the year, often longer.Best planted in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot, in borders or containers, thirsty nectar-loving insects will visit for a treat while slugs, rabbits, deer and other garden pests tend to steer clear of the glossy, semi-evergreen foliage. Also known as 'Hewell Pink Bedder' it has been given the RHS Award of Garden Merit for outstanding performance in the garden. Penstemon 'Hewells Pink' grows to a mature height of around 60cm, spreading to between 45-60cm. Much loved by bees and other pollinators, but slug, snail, rabbit, and deer resistant, Capricorn Moon reaches a mature height of 1m, and spreads 40-60cm. Given an RHS hardiness rating of H4, some protection over winter may be needed if temperatures go below -10 C.
