Tell Me More...
Be one of the first to grow the unusual Penstemon digitalis 'Goldfinger'. Incredibly eye-catching golden-lime-green foliage - evergreen at the base - is edged with dark red before turning darker green. Many, contrasting, dark red stems rise in May to hold a profusion of white, lilac-tinged, trumpet-shaped blooms, each one speckled with purple, which are loved by bees and other pollinators. Blooming throughout the summer and well into the autumn, the stems make excellent cut flowers adding intrigue while lasting well in a vase.Easy to care for with very little care required, Penstemon digitalis 'Goldfinger' prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Growing to a height of 70cm and the foliage spreading to around 50cm. The RHS have awarded a hardiness rating of H4, so if weather stays above -10 C, protection will not be required.
