Tell Me More...
If you are looking for an easy flower to grow, that blooms from early summer to late Autumn and is not fussy about the soil then Penstemons are an ideal choice. The colours range from blue, white, purple, red and pink and are known for their staying power and resilience. Choosing a variety can be difficult, due to the wide range available to you, but Amelia Jane is one of the 'Pensham' group of penstemons. They have been bred to survive lower winter temperatures and flower for longer periods even through a cold Autumn. They were originally bred by the late Edward Wilson of Pershore Plant Raisers. He was a Penstemon breeder, with his wife Stella, for over twenty years here in the village of Pensham, where Hayloft Plants is based. They received many accolades & awards for their work.
