These new and exciting peltatum Pyrogenic Pelargoniums are aptly named 'Great Balls of Fire' for their large, densely packed spherical flowers which physically resemble fire balls of rich, watermelon red. Blooms are borne from May to October on strong, branching stems and offer a vibrancy 'second to none'.Pelargonium 'Great Balls of Fire Melon' has high levels of heat and drought resistance too - continuing to flower even when the temperatures rise, and the rainfall recedes. With a semi-trailing habit, 'Great Balls of Fire Melon' is ideal for gracefully draping over pots and elegantly arching over baskets as well as giving vibrant colour to borders. Watch as the green, ivy-leaved, fleshy foliage enhances a trailblazing display. Pelargoniums prefer a site in well-drained soil which benefits from full sun - akin to that which they enjoy in their native Mediterranean environment. Sometimes grown as annuals, plants will need winter protection from temperatures below around 5 C - ideally in a cool, frost-free greenhouse. Grow to reach a maximum of H: 30cm S: 45cm.
