Tell Me More...
One of the best trailing geraniums for summer baskets and containers. Pelargonium Corriente Amethyst displays decadent, semi-double blooms above glossy evergreen foliage. Incredibly long flowering, you will enjoy an exquisite display from May to November as the semi-trailing foliage spills over the edges of your borders, baskets, and containers. The name Pelargonium comes from the Greek work for stork, because of the shape of the seed pods after flowering, hence the common name Storksbill.Often called Geranium, Pelargonium are not to be confused with the perennial hardy Geranium, Pelargonium have a very different habit and originate from tropical areas of the world. Pelargonium Corriente Amethyst is drought tolerant, preferring to be grown in very well-drained soil in sun or part shade, reaching a height and spread of approximately 35cm. Not hardy, they will not survive frosts, but cuttings can easily be taken to raise new plants for the following season.
