Pelargonium ‘Corriente’ are one of the best trailing geraniums for summer baskets and container. As a new twist on the traditional favourite, Pelargonium ‘Corriente’ show their decadent semi-double blooms above glossy, evergreen foliage. Leaves are shaped like ivy and have a thick, almost succulent, feel to them. Pelargonium peltatum ‘Corriente Amethyst’ is long flowering, jubilant jewel with deep violet-pink blooms. Enjoy its rich coloured, exquisite display from May to October as the semi-trailing foliage spills over the edges of your borders, baskets, and containers by up to 50cm. Pelargoniums are amazingly drought tolerant and much prefer a site with well-drained soil (of any type) which benefits from full sun or partial shade. Pelargonium peltatum ‘Corriente Amethyst’ has a height and spread of approximately 35cm. As tender perennials, Pelargonium Corriente are not frost hardy. These wonderful plants can, however, be overwintered in a greenhouse or conservatory then reinvigorated in spring for the following season.
