Pelargonium peltatum 'Cascade Lilac’ is a self-cleaning beauty with attractive, fleshy foliage. Gently trailing down to around 60cm from baskets, window boxes and containers, the durable, long-lasting blooms are produced from June to October. An ivy leaf geranium, with distinctive fleshy, dark green, evergreen leaves which are very similar in shape to the native Hedera, hence the common name. Their succulence helps towards their drought tolerance. Loved by bees and butterflies, Pelargonium peltatum 'Cascade Lilac' which prefers to be grown in a sunny position, in well-drained soil where it will reach a height and spread of approximately 50cm. A tender annual, with an RHS hardiness rating H1C, protection will be need over winter, needing to be kept above 5°C. Cuttings can easily be taken to give you more plants the following year.
