Open-mouthed blooms adorn tall wiry stems from June to November above sage scented foliage. A marvellously colourful way to lead your garden through summer and well into autumn.
Very easy to grow, drought tolerant and loved by bees and other pollinators, Salvia are happy grown in both borders and containers. Perfect when positioned near a path or seat so that the fragrance will be released when the foliage is brushed against.
With nearly 1,000 different species of salvia globally, Salvia are a wide and varied range of plants, with the ornamental varieties being close relatives of the culinary herb, sage.
