Parahebe catarractae Avalanche cascades over walls, down slopes or across your borders and containers. The perfect plant to hide bare ground with a dense covering of glossy, evergreen, weed-suppressing carpets of foliage. Stiff stems are topped with masses of delicate, white, saucer-shaped flowers with pretty green eye, in spring and summer, often blooming again in autumn.With boundless energy Parahebe are closely related to Veronica and Hebe; hence the name Parahebe. Parahebe are more delicate in appearance, have boundless energy, flower relentlessly, and originate from the dry, sunny areas of Australasia. Parahebe catarractae Avalanche is easy to grow, preferring moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Reaching a height and spread of approximately 50cm, Parahebe are perfect for low maintenance containers. This is a hardy perennial, meaning it can be grown outside in most of the UK for you to enjoy for years, only needing protection in the very coldest winters.
