Each bloom has tightly packed semi-double ruffles to the centre, surrounded by larger, looser, petals creating an explosion of flowers when they appear in May and June. Paeonia are best planted as a bare root in cooler months. A hardy (H6), deciduous perennial which matures to a height of 90cm, with a spread of 60cm.
