Tell Me More...
Osteospermum 'Snow Pixie' is a very popular, ground covering plant with an abundance of clean white, daisy-like blooms, each with a bright yellow, nectar-rich centre. This versatile evergreen has densely packed, mat-forming foliage which becomes covered by the profusion of large, white blooms from May to September and often longer. This creates wonderful blankets which help to prevent those pesky weeks from coming through.A happy, easy-going, drought tolerant plant, Osteospermum 'Snow Pixie' is the perfect plant for the front of your borders or for adding white accents in patio containers. As an African native, plants prefer well-drained soil in full sun, though they will happily cope with partial shade. Growing to a height of approximately 20-30cm, the cushion of foliage spreads to around 45-75cm. As a half-hardy perennial, some additional winter protect is needed when temperatures drop below -5 C, either by moving containers into the greenhouse or by adding a winter mulch.
